Purpose of Role

The Maintenance Manager is responsible for increasing the overall equipment efficiency of plastic injection molding machines, auxiliary equipment, automation, and the plant facility. This includes managing the preventative maintenance program, performing reactive repairs, and implementing permanent solutions to recurring issues. The role involves managing a team of maintenance professionals, prioritizing safety, and working cross-functionally with all departments within the plant.

Areas of Accountabilities
  • Maintain building, facilities, and manufacturing equipment.
  • Manage repair, upkeep, and refurbishment of all manufacturing equipment, including large tonnage injection molding machines, molds, extruders, robots, decorating equipment, and support equipment.
  • Manage contractors for specialized work inside the plant and maintain the plant facility and office space.
  • Oversee implementation of preventive maintenance processes and execute the preventative maintenance program to meet national standards.
  • Set goals and strategies for the maintenance department aligned with SQCDP and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance costs within budget.
Manage a Technical Team
  • Lead a team of maintenance professionals in a 24/7 operation, using resources efficiently.
  • Schedule and manage daily work, ensuring timely and quality completion.
  • Participate in plant safety initiatives, ensuring team safety and training.
  • Support team development and technical skill growth.
  • Perform hands-on and managerial responsibilities, including planning, prioritizing, communicating, resource management, budgeting, and purchasing.
  • Conduct quarterly and annual performance reviews for direct reports.
Work Cross-Functionally
  • Support engineering with automation installation, equipment replacement, and improvements.
