Join to apply for the MFG MAINTENANCE ENGINEER role at Fred Meyer.

Lead the effective execution of all maintenance and assigned work/projects within the plant, including external properties, focusing on optimizing maintenance functions such as predictive and preventive maintenance (PPM), spare parts, scheduling, and performance. Ensure all jobs are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership embodying our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrate core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering.
  • 2+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in the food industry.
  • Knowledge of GMP, EPA, OSHA requirements.
  • Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Strong organizational skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS.
  • Analytical skills and effective communication.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
  • 5+ years of technical experience in preventive and predictive maintenance in the food industry.
  • Experience in continuous improvement, supervising and coaching staff, managing maintenance budgets, and coordinating with various teams.
  • Experience with engineering analysis, equipment failure root cause analysis, and maintenance planning using CMMS.
  • Ability to support safety, quality, and food safety systems, including SQF standards.
