Job summary

BLOX in Alabama seeks an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage systems across commercial, industrial, and residential projects.

You will read blueprints and schematics, run conduit, terminate wiring, test systems, and ensure NEC compliance while coordinating with project managers and other trades. This hands-on role requires physical stamina and a commitment to safety, quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Previous electrical experience in electrical engineering or related fields.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read and use measurement tools accurately.
• Familiarity with electrical codes.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 -75 lbs and perform physical work for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time on site.
• Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.

We are seeking an experienced Low Voltage Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot low voltage electrical systems. This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in structured cabling, and communication systems who takes pride in clean, code-compliant work.
