Job Summary

The Technician is responsible for manufacturing micro-prism films. The Manufacturing Films Technician I manages material flow on the equipment, monitors operation, makes operating adjustments as required, and verifies product quality and equipment conditions to ensure conformance to specifications. The Technician follows all ISO documentation requirements and is responsible for area housekeeping, safety procedures, and recommending improvements to equipment performance and safety.

Essential Functions
  • Operate all ORAFOL manufacturing equipment safely.
  • Operate and inspect Powered Industrial equipment as required.
  • Perform quality checks and monitor equipment parameters.
  • Wear all Personal Protection Equipment as required.
  • Remove and inspect tooling, load/unload film, and perform splices.
  • Complete documentation, process work orders, and verify labels.
  • Follow standardized operating procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Report defective materials or conditions to supervisors.
  • Handle hazardous waste according to regulations, including satellite waste management.
  • Attend hazardous waste training annually.
  • Transfer waste containers properly, label, and store safely.
  • Use proper handling procedures to prevent waste release.
  • Respond to incidental waste releases per OSHA guidelines.
  • Follow safety guidelines, use PPE, and perform routine maintenance.
  • Maintain documentation and support quality programs.
  • Participate in training and communication meetings.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Support team goals and perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements

High School Diploma required. Effective communication skills in English. Competency with Microsoft Office. 0-1 years manufacturing experience.
