Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions in the United States is seeking a production coordinator to organize, plan, and oversee manufacturing of plastic container products. You will liaise with maintenance, QA, and production teams to keep operations efficient and compliant.

Key duties include observing operations, coordinating schedules to minimize costs and delays, inspecting equipment, and driving improvements. Strong communication, math, and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/engineering or related area, with 1+ year experience.
• Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen experience/certification is a plus.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Observes and records production operations.

• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure performance and utilization.
• Seek methods to improve standard operating practices.
• Observe workers, molding machinery and conveyors for safety and efficiency.
• Coordinate with mold set technician, department supervisors, and production personnel for parts, tooling and machinery.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment as directed.
• Train personnel with machine attendants and supervisors.
• Follow safety rules and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Description

Organizes, coordinates and plans activities of production departments in the manufacturing of plastic container products. Performs initial setups and start up on tools and equipment. Acts as liaison with maintenance, quality assurance and production personnel.

Responsibilities

• Observes and records production operations
• Review operational schedules and coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays (e.g., SMED development, ergonomics, LDR improvement).
• Inspect machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimal utilization
• Seek methods to improve standard operational and working practices
• Observe workers, molding machinery and conveyors to ensure compliance with safety standards and operating efficiency
• Coordinate with mold set technician, department supervisors, and production personnel for parts, tooling, equipment and machinery
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment as directed
• Work with machine attendants and supervisors in the training of personnel
• Follow all safety rules and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, or related area is preferred, with at least one year of work experience
• Lean Six Sigma or Kaizen experience/certification is a plus
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong mathematical and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and GMPs
• Good interpersonal skills
• Experience and demonstrated knowledge of troubleshooting skills, preferably in injection and blow molding processes
• Ability to work up to 12 hours at a time on day or night shift
