Responsibilities

• Use manual and powered material handling equipment to move material into, around, and out of storage and staging areas.
• Utilize computerized scanning operations to stock, locate and transfer product.
• Responsible for stock inventory accuracy.
• Construct pallets and keep conveyors and staging areas clear at all times.
• Verify skid tickets during construction and place weighed boxes on skids.
• Stage stock in designated locations.
• Stage in process work at assembly/lining machines.
• Verify caps and spouts against production order prior to filling machines.
• Dump stock into assembly/lining machines to support assembly.
• Clear machines after filling to prevent contamination.
• Clear gaylords and move to designated locations.
• Stack empty pallets in designated locations.
• Ensure tote boxes are removed from mezzanine.
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area and perform housekeeping.

POSITION SUMMARY

Position is responsible for performing Warehouse functions on intra-company materials, maintaining machine stock levels and insuring all areas have the required materials. Performs stocking and stock location transfers. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate stocking and movement of materials from/to/and between locations including production departments. Cross-trained in all warehousing functions to promote maximum efficiency.

FUNCTIONS

Use various manual and powered material handling equipment to move material into, around, and out of storage and staging areas. Utilize computerized scanning operations to stock, locate and transfer product. Responsible for stock inventory accuracy. Responsible for the construction of pallets and keeping conveyors and staging areas clear at all times. Verifies skid tickets during construction and places weighed boxes on skids. Stages stock in designated locations. Stages in process work at assembly/lining machines. Verifies caps and spouts against production order prior to filling machines to insure the correct product is being assembled/lined. Dumps stock product into assembly/ling ning machines to support assembly. Verifies that all machines are covered after filling to insure product will not be contaminated. Clears gaylords from air tran and moves gaylords to designated locations. Stacks all empty pallets in designated locations. Insures that all tote boxes are removed from the mezzanine. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, keeping walkways and aisles clear. Performs general housekeeping duties such as sweeping and trash removal. When work in primary classification is not available, will perform other work according to skill and availability, to include periodic inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory.
