You will drive EDF’s ocean priorities and secure commitments to advance sustainable policies. The role requires strong analytical skills, leadership and the ability to translate complex science into actionable policy, with up to 30% travel in Mexico and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with 8+ years of experience in policy, government relations or advocacy.
• Strong knowledge of environmental, fisheries, climate and blue economy policy in Mexico.
• Experience shaping policy outcomes through stakeholder engagement and advocacy.

Responsabilités

• Lead EDF’s public policy function for Mexico oceans program and set workplans.
• Develop and execute national- and state-level policy strategies for program goals.
• Establish high-impact relationships with government officials and partners.
• Translate technical information into clear policy options and proposals.
• Represent EDF in presentations and negotiations with senior stakeholders in Mexico.
