Job summary

Walser Automotive Group in Minnesota is seeking a skilled automotive technician to perform maintenance and repairs following standard procedures and safety guidelines, meeting defined performance standards.

You will service exhaust systems, rotate tires, install batteries and accessories, and handle brake inspections, lamp replacements, and documentation using our tools. ASE certification and an automotive degree or 3+ years of related experience are required.

• Automotive degree or minimum 3 years related professional experience required.
• Current ASE Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Handle exhaust system work, tire rotation, battery installation and battery cable replacement.
• Install accessories and shock absorbers (excluding A/C and air shocks).
• Replace coolant hoses, mirrors, belts, signals, windshield washers, headlamps and bulbs; align and replace lamp assemblies.
• Perform brake inspections, wheel balancing, drains and flushes, and door/window adjustments.
• Diagnose and fix squeaks, rattles, wind noise, and water leaks.
• Document all work on the repair order and use Truvideo/Estimate Tool.

Compensation: Up to $25.15/hr based on production!

Initial Requirements:

• Automotive degree/certificate or minimum of 3 years related professional experience required
• Current ASE Certifications required

What You’ll Do:

• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs while following standard operating procedures and safety guidelines, as well as being held to meeting pre-determined performance standards.
• Responsible for handling work on the Exhaust system of a vehicle, changing and rotating tires, battery installation and battery cable replacement
• Perform installation of accessories and shock absorbers, not including; A/C and air shocks
• Responsible for replacing coolant hoses, mirrors, belts, signals, W/S washers, head Lamps and bulbs as well as aligning and replacing the lamp assembly and courtesy switch
• Perform brake inspections, wheel balancing, drains and flushes, as well as door and window adjustments
• Clean and Replace P.C.V
• Diagnose and fix squeaks and rattles, wind noise and water leaks
• Perform work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
• Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended
• Document all work performed on the repair order
• Utilization of Truvideo/Estimate Tool

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be reliable and have a good work ethic
• Must work well as a member of a team
• Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
