Touchstone Advanced Composites, a subsidiary of Core Natural Resources, is a rapidly growing supplier of high-tech tools and composite parts to the aerospace, space, defense, and other industries. We are seeking motivated individuals for the position of Metrology Technician who enjoy hands-on work, attention to detail, and working in a team environment to produce high-quality products. This position will inspect, measure, and report on tooling, parts, and assemblies used in high performance aerospace, space, and defense applications using standard measuring instruments along with FaroArms and laser trackers to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Target Responsibilities

• Reads, interprets, and inspect drawings, models, and process specifications following company procedures and customer requirements.
• Performs inspections on tooling products, production parts, and machines, utilizing Portable Coordinate Measurement Systems, such as laser trackers, FaroArms, and/or other precision measuring equipment. Performs spot checks, in-process inspections, first part buyoffs, and final inspections.
• Ensures accurate calibration, verification of company and employee tools by calibrating tools, sending tools for outside calibration, and reporting non-confirming tooling to management.
• Generate inspections reports utilizing Verisurf software.
• Organizing, filing, and maintaining inspection documents and data.
• Measures aerospace molds, parts, and assemblies to 3D generated models, drawings and provided specifications.
Required Skills and Experience
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, interpret and inspect to drawings, 3-D generated models, procedures, and process specifications with the ability to articulate findings.
• Proficient in the use of basic measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gages and other standard measuring and inspection equipment.
• Proficient in the use of advanced metrology equipment such as FaroArms, Laser Trackers, and Laser Scanners.
• Problem solving and analytical skills for root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Advanced knowledge of 3D inspection and procedures.
• Must be available to work overtime and weeks as business requires.
• Proficient in Verisurf software and use of Faro measuring equipment preferred.
