What you’ll do:
Perform, develop, and refine analytical chemistry test methods to support R&D, quality investigations, and manufacturing needs.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation including GC, Headspace, GPC/SEC, and DSC.
Plan, execute, and document analytical method verification, equipment qualification, and validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) as applicable.
Ensure analytical methods and measurements comply with internal standards and applicable quality systems or regulatory requirements.
Analyze, interpret, and clearly communicate analytical data through technical reports, summaries, and presentations.
Author, review, and maintain work instructions, SOPs, test methods, and related laboratory documentation.
Support root cause investigations, nonconformances, and corrective actions through robust analytical testing and data interpretation.
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering teams.
Support method transfers, method improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain laboratory organization, safety compliance, calibration practices, and good documentation practices.
Qualifications:
MS or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field; or
BS in a related scientific field with 5-7 years of relevant industry experience in analytical or chemical testing environments
Demonstrated hands‑on experience with gas chromatography (GC), including headspace analysis.
Experience with polymer or materials characterization techniques such as GPC/SEC and DSC.
Experience with analytical method development, verification, validation, or qualification is strongly preferred.
Experience working within a quality system environment (ISO, GMP, or similar) preferred.
Knowledge of polymer, coating, or materials testing in an R&D environment.
Familiarity with statistical analysis tools used in analytical chemistry.
Understanding of traceability, measurement uncertainty, and metrology principles.
Ability to travel up to 10%
Computer Skills:
Experience with Minitab or similar statistical software.
Python or equivalent technical computing experience preferred
Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE), method optimization or robustness testing.
