Job summary

TDS Equipment, based in Dallas/Ft. Worth, TX, is seeking a Calibration & Repair Lab Technician to calibrate, test, troubleshoot, repair, and rework a variety of complex Measuring & Test Equipment (MTE).

You will apply metrology principles to ensure accuracy and traceability to ISO/IEC 17025 and related standards, support internal teams and customers, and maintain documentation in METTEAM/METCAL. This role emphasizes lab quality, on-time delivery, and opportunities for professional growth within

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience diagnosing component-level failures and performing board-level repair and soldering.
• Experience calibrating and repairing electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Experience working with high-voltage systems and applying electrical safety protocols.
• Strong working knowledge of calibration principles including traceability and documentation practices.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and work within controlled quality systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate and verify a broad range of MTE, including electrical test equipment, temperature, pressure, hipots, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and rework equipment; perform soldering and board-level repair as needed.
• Prepare, review, and maintain calibration documentation in METTEAM/METCAL or equivalent.
• Maintain records supporting ISO/IEC 17025 expectations, including as-found/as-left results and traceability.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining records and following controlled procedures.
• Balance quality with on-time delivery and communicate risks as needed.
• Provide backup coverage and cross-training for other lab functions.
