Requirements
What You'll Do
- Travel approximately 80% of the time throughout North America, often on multi-day assignments
- Utilize advanced laser metrology and alignment equipment to collect precision measurement data
- Troubleshoot mechanical, alignment, and geometric issues on large industrial machinery
- Perform and oversee corrective alignment and maintenance activities
- Analyze measurement data and provide practical solutions to improve equipment performance
- Create detailed technical service reports and 3D modeling documentation
- Support project planning, scoping, and quoting efforts
- Train customers and team members on metrology tools and alignment techniques
- Work directly with customers to solve critical operational challenges
What We're Looking For
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Strong foundation in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with AutoCAD
- Strong written communication and technical reporting skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Windows-based applications
- Ability and desire to travel extensively
- Self-starter who enjoys working independently in the field
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with SolidWorks, CATIA, BuildIT, Spatial Analyzer, CAM2, or PolyWorks
- Experience with laser tracking, alignment, or industrial metrology systems
- Naval, Marine, Manufacturing, Energy, Aerospace, or Heavy Industrial experience
- Leadership potential and interest in advancing into a technical leadership role
