Leupold & Stevens, Inc. is seeking a Metrology Engineer 2 in Beaverton, Oregon to advance quality and measurement systems. The role focuses on designing inspection methods, supporting product testing, and driving supplier quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years of experience and prefers Certified Quality credentials. Proficiency in SPC/MSA, GD&T, Excel, and data analysis tools is required, with occasional travel to suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years experience or equivalent.
• Certified Quality Engineer (preferred).
• Certified Supplier Quality Professional (preferred).
• Certified Quality Auditor (preferred).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings with GD&T.
• Demonstrated knowledge of statistical fundamentals (MSA, SPC).
• Proficiency in Excel, MiniTab, and related analytics software.
• SolidWorks and general office software proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures and work instructions; suggest improvements.
• Design inspection and test equipment; provide instructions and training.
• Assist in product testing and ensure timing supports project schedules.
• Collaborate to create product test plans validating specifications.
• Lead problem solving using scientific methods (8D).
• Monitor quality data; identify and develop improvement opportunities.
• Plan and perform audits in manufacturing, assembly, office and supplier settings.
• Travel domestically and internationally to support suppliers and problem solving.
