Zing Recruiting seeks a motivated Metrology Engineer to join our growing team. This entry-level to junior role offers hands-on experience in metrology, manufacturing quality, and laboratory operations within a real-world production environment.

You will work closely with seasoned engineers and production teams, gaining exposure to calibration, inspection, and continuous improvement initiatives while developing strong measurement and data-analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Requires 8+ years related experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with metrology software (PolyWorks, ZEISS Inspect Pro, ATOS ScanBox) is a plus.
• Proficiency in MS Office for data analysis and communication.

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, measure, and test equipment per procedures and ISO 17025.
• Operate metrology equipment like blue-light scanners and scanning arms.
• Perform inspections and verify measurement accuracy.
• Document calibration procedures and results with attention to detail.
• Support lab operations including instrument upkeep and QA practices.
• Troubleshoot measurement systems with guidance from seniors.
• Collaborate with teams to support manufacturing, launch, and R&D.
• Participate in internal audits and continuous improvement.
• Follow safety and quality protocols in lab and manufacturing.
• Learn new tools and methods as technology evolves.
• Perform other duties related to metrology and lab support.
