Job summary

Slate Auto seeks a Metrology Engineer for our Warsaw, Indiana facility. You will support calibration, measurement, and testing of metrology equipment, collaborating with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure product quality and process capability.

Ideal candidates have extensive metrology knowledge, experience with measurement software, and the ability to read technical drawings. This on-site role emphasizes hands-on operation and continuous improvement in a manufacturing

Qualifications

8+ years related experience in Engineering.
Experience with metrology software is preferred ( PolyWorks / ZEISS / ATOS ).
Familiarity with GD&T and reading technical drawings is a plus.
Strong collaboration across engineering, quality, and production teams.

Responsibilities

Support calibration, measurement, and testing of equipment and components using established procedures and industry standards (e.g., ISO 17025).
Learn to operate and maintain metrology equipment, including laser scanners and scanning arms.
Perform routine inspections and verification activities to ensure measurement accuracy and system reliability.
Document calibration procedures, inspection results, and equipment records with strong attention to detail.
