Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Metrology Engineer to shape and improve measurement systems for high-assurance defense products. You’ll design and implement measurement methods, gages, and inspection plans while collaborating with design, manufacturing, and quality teams.

You’ll apply GD&T, perform FAI and MSA, and help establish calibration and gage management practices. A U.S. security clearance is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or equivalent technical training.
• Working knowledge of dimensional metrology principles.
• Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and inspection methods.
• Experience with CMM and metrology software.
• Familiarity with FAI and MSA / Gage R&R.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and implement measurement methods, inspection programs, and gages for parts, assemblies, and processes.
• Interpret GD&T and develop inspection plans reflecting design intent.
• Perform FAI and MSA/Gage R&R to confirm capability and measurement confidence.
• Integrate metrology early with design, manufacturing, and quality teams.
• Provide guidance to Metrology Technicians on programming, fixturing, and measurements.
• Troubleshoot systemic measurement issues and design solutions to prevent recurrence.
