Job summary

Valiant TMS in the United States seeks a Metrology & Dimensional Quality Supervisor to lead day-to-day metrology and dimensional quality activities within the assigned area, coordinating measurement resources for projects, equipment builds, installation, commissioning, and customer requirements.

You will perform dimensional measurements with laser trackers, FARO Arms, and portable CMMs; adjust and align equipment; manage CAD data in metrology software; analyze results; and drive root-cause

Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in dimensional measurement/metrology in manufacturing.
  • College program or equivalent training in metrology or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with laser trackers, FARO Arms, portable CMMs.
  • Experience with 3D CAD data and metrology software.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment and assembly processes.
  • Willingness to travel ~50% and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Legally authorized to work in the USA.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate day-to-day metrology and dimensional quality activities.
  • Plan and prioritize measurement resources for projects and installations.
  • Perform dimensional measurement and verification using laser trackers and CMMs.
  • Perform alignment and dimensional corrections on equipment and components.
  • Prepare and manage 3D CAD data for metrology software use.
  • Analyze results and troubleshoot dimensional issues with teams.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conformances.
  • Provide technical guidance on metrology methods and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve methods and documentation.
  • Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair of measurement equipment.
  • Prepare measurement plans and dimensional records.

Join Our Team as a Metrology & Dimensional Quality Supervisor!

Valiant TMS, a global industrial automation company, is looking for a Metrology & Dimensional Quality Supervisor to join our team. If you have experience in dimensional measurement, 3D metrology, and solving complex alignment and quality challenges within automotive manufacturing, this opportunity is for you.

What you’ll get to do
  • Coordinate day-to-day metrology and dimensional quality activities within the assigned area
  • Plan and prioritize measurement resources to support project schedules, equipment builds, installation, commissioning, and customer requirements
  • Perform dimensional measurement and verification of production equipment, tooling, fixtures, and components using laser trackers, FARO Arms, and other stationary and portable 3D measurement systems
  • Perform and support mechanical adjustment, alignment, and dimensional correction of measured equipment and components
  • Prepare, import, and manage 3D CAD data for use within measurement and metrology software
  • Analyze measurement results and troubleshoot dimensional, alignment, and metrology-related issues with project, engineering, manufacturing, and site teams
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective actions for dimensional non-conformances
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members on metrology methods, equipment, and dimensional quality requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve measurement methods, processes, documentation, and dimensional quality standards
  • Coordinate calibration, maintenance, and repair activities for measurement equipment
  • Prepare and maintain measurement plans, inspection reports, dimensional records, and related documentation
What we are looking for
  • 3 years of experience in dimensional measurement, metrology, dimensional quality, or a related manufacturing environment
  • Completed college or university program or equivalent technical training in metrology, mechanical engineering technology, manufacturing engineering technology, or a related technical field
  • Hands‑on experience with laser trackers, FARO Arms, portable CMMs, or similar 3D metrology systems
  • Experience working with 3D CAD data and metrology or inspection software
  • Automotive manufacturing or body‑in‑white experience preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of manufacturing equipment, tooling, fixtures, alignment, and assembly processes
  • Experience troubleshooting dimensional issues and supporting root‑cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Experience coordinating technical activities, supporting projects, or providing technical leadership in a cross‑functional environment
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Willingness to travel approximately 50% of the time
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA.
