Job summary

SirenOpt in San Leandro, CA is seeking a Metrology Applications Engineer to join our Customer Solutions Engineering team. This role blends hands-on lab work with face-to-face engagement with customer engineering and operations.

You will design and run demonstration studies for PlasmaSens platforms, interpret data, present findings to customers, and help install and optimize systems at sites. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in materials science, chemical engineering, chemistry, physics, or related field (PhD optional).
• 1–2 years industry experience in manufacturing, metrology, or materials characterization for BS/MS track.
• PhD candidates: research or industry experience in materials characterization or advanced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Understand metrology requirements with customers and plan demonstration studies.
• Design, run, and analyze experiments in labs and customer facilities.
• Present findings to customer engineers and executives with clear recommendations.
• Support installation and optimization of PlasmaSens systems at customer sites.
