Job summary

Rev-A-Shelf in Louisville, KY is seeking a Quality Inspector to develop and execute quality plans, inspecting products and materials for compliance with company and customer standards. You will manage records related to performance and content compliance during production and supplier interactions.

The role requires reading engineering drawings, using calipers, micrometers and height gauges, and maintaining calibration records.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings to identify critical inspection features.
• Experience using calipers, micrometers and height gauges for precise measurements.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office for data recording and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document dimensional and product performance inspections.
• Maintain records for first piece approvals and ECN documentation as needed.
• Conduct annual validation tests on product families including dimensional and load tests.
• Manage calibration system for measuring devices used by labs and production sites.
• Assist with records for restricted or reportable material compliance.

Position Summary:

Develop and execute quality plans and procedures regarding inspecting and testing products and materials for compliance to company and customer compliance standards. Management of records as required for product performance and content compliance regarding material restrictions and regulations.

Position responsibilities:

• Perform, accurately report and maintain record of dimensional and product performance results.
• Manage retention of first piece approval samples where applicable
• Complete &, when necessary, submit customer required documentation for approval of new / ECN products
• Perform annual validation testing on all product families to include dimensional, cyclical and edge load testing.
• Perform and maintain a calibration system of measuring devices used by Product Development and Quality departments. (RAS HQ & RAS Molding sites)
• Ability to read and understand installation instructions and perform installation as necessary
• Assist with the management of records regarding restricted / reportable material compliance (products purchased / sold)
• Perform other duties as assigned, not limited to the lab environment or scope of the items on this document.

Essential skills and experience:

• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and understand critical inspection aspects
• Use and understanding of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.
• High school, Trade, Vocational graduate, or equivalent
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office programs
