Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems and energy solutions, is seeking a Metro General Manager for HVAC and Controls in a major market. You will own the overall performance of a large field organization spanning sales, operations, service, and project delivery.

The role requires a strategic leader with 10+ years in HVAC/building automation, proven P&L management, and the ability to develop leaders while driving growth and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in HVAC, building automation, controls, or related industry.
• Significant experience leading geographically dispersed teams and large operations.
• Proven success managing a substantial P&L and delivering growth.
• Strong strategic planning, operational leadership, and financial management.
• Experience leading sales, operations, service, and project execution functions.
• Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the metro business with accountability for growth, execution, profitability, and customer experience.
• Develop and execute local market strategies aligned with growth objectives.
• Own the P&L, budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning for the assigned business.
• Drive revenue growth, margin performance, and operational efficiency across functions.
• Lead and coach cross-functional teams and build executive relationships with customers and partners.
• Support disciplined service delivery, project execution, and cost control.
• Identify market trends and guide business decisions to ensure sustainable growth.
