Qualifications

• Must demonstrate Associate Director level readiness or equivalent senior Cost Manager experience.
• Track record of leading cost-management delivery on large-scale data center projects.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost-management delivery across assigned data center projects in the DFW area.
• Act as a senior client contact for cost and commercial matters.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and anticipated final costs.
• Review changes, identify commercial risks and advise on financial impact.
• Support procurement, contractor negotiations and commercial reviews.
• Coordinate cost-management resources and maintain delivery standards.
• Provide guidance to a small team and collaborate with construction, scheduling and project-management teams.
• demonstrate hyperscale data center cost-management experience and work with a major hyperscale technology client.

I'm partnering with an established construction consultancy to recruit a Metro Cost Lead supporting hyperscale data center construction in the DFW area.

This opportunity would suit an Associate Director or experienced Senior Cost Manager with strong hyperscale data center experience, confident client-facing skills and a track record of leading cost-management delivery.

The role

You will lead cost-management delivery across an assigned DFW portfolio, working closely with client stakeholders, project teams and cost-management colleagues to provide clear commercial advice and reliable financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost-management delivery across assigned data center projects.
• Act as a senior client contact for cost and commercial matters.
• Oversee budgets, forecasts, cost reporting and anticipated final costs.
• Review changes, identify commercial risks and advise on their financial impact.
• Support procurement, contractor negotiations and commercial reviews.
• Coordinate cost-management resources and maintain consistent delivery standards.
• Provide guidance and support to a small team.
• Collaborate with construction, scheduling and project-management teams.
• Strong cost-management experience on hyperscale data center construction projects.
• Previous experience supporting a major hyperscale technology client.
• Experience in a comparable metro, campus or program cost-lead position.
• Operating at Associate Director level, or ready to step up.
• Confident managing relationships with senior client stakeholders.
• People leadership or small-team management experience would be advantageous.

Location and compensation

• Base salary of $160,000-$180,000.
• Candidates outside the area may be considered if able to commit to full-time site attendance.
• Additional per diem available for eligible candidates committing to full-time site-based work, with arrangements discussed during the recruitment process.
