Join to apply for the Metering Spot Welder - 1st Shift role at Eaton.

Position details:

  • Location: Sherman, TX
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm
  • Hourly rate: $19.53 (based on experience and qualifications)
Job Responsibilities
  • Grind and polish metal.
  • Use spot welding equipment to weld parts according to specifications.
  • Run samples and check product quality against prints.
  • Adjust spot welder for material thickness and finish.
  • Perform quality checks, fill out activity reports, and record time in SAP.
  • Change and maintain welding tips.
  • Participate in 5S & Continuous Improvement activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
  • Must reside within the immediate area of Sherman, TX.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with spot welding.
Position Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. alone, up to 100 lbs. with assistance.
  • Ability to read blueprints and use measuring tools.
  • Follow directions, work independently, and pay close attention to detail.
  • Work as part of a team assembling products.
  • Ability to reach, grasp, and manipulate objects.
  • Work mandatory overtime, including Saturdays and shifts up to 12 hours.
  • Stand for entire shift and perform repetitive tasks.
