Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking a Meter Technician in Minnesota to connect and disconnect meters for residential and commercial customers. You will receive daily service orders, perform read-outs or read-ins, and ensure accurate records along your route, while maintaining company vehicles and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, and basic computer/phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive service orders on a daily basis from the utility office, and close out orders.
• Connect and disconnect meters.
• Perform read-outs or read-ins.
• Walk or drive truck over established route.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections.
• Indicate irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department.
• Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles and equipment receive the proper care and maintenance.

Main Responsibilities:

Required Qualifications:

• General phone and computer knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ year gas construction experience.
• General understanding of gas appliances, wrenches and pipe fittings.
• Meter Service Technician certificate.
