Job summary

Miller Pipeline in Minnesota is hiring a Meter Technician to connect and disconnect meters for residential and commercial customers. You will receive daily service orders from the utility office and ensure accurate read-outs and proper vehicle maintenance.

This role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, and basic phone/computer skills. Preferred candidates have gas construction exposure and a Meter Service Technician certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Related experience or training.
• Current Driver's License and clean driving record.
• General phone and computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Receive service orders on a daily basis from the utility office, and close out orders.
• Connect and disconnect meters.
• Perform read-outs or read-ins.
• Walk or drive truck over established route.
• Inspect meters and connections for defects, damage, and unauthorized connections.
• Indicate irregularities on forms for necessary action by servicing department.
• Responsible for ensuring that company vehicles and equipment receive the proper care and maintenance.
