Bermex, Inc. is seeking a Meter Reader to read gas, electric, and water meters, often outdoors across diverse environments. The role requires extensive walking and adherence to DOT procedures.
You will navigate routes, manage time effectively, and report any meter issues to the supervisor. This is a physically active position with daily field duties and potential background checks.

The Meter Reader DOT reports to the Meter Services Supervisor at Bermex. This position plays a key role in reading and inspecting gas, electric, and/or water meters. This position also requires a high degree of walking in outdoor environmental conditions, excellent time management, and exceptional flexibility day to day. This is a DOT regulated position, which may require additional background checks.
Significant amount of walking(14+ miles/day) is involved. There is also a lot of driving. Good navigation skills, no attendance issues, and self-motivation are required for success. The position is outdoors all year.
Employees will begin their day at the local office where they will pick up their company vehicle, equipment, and assignments for the day.
