We are seeking a talented and motivated engineering intern to join our innovative team at Meta Reality Labs. As part of our dynamic Metaverse Display Engineering team, you will have the opportunity to:

As an engineering intern, you will play a key role in developing quantitative metrics and models to characterize the optical and visual performance of our next-generation MR displays. Your work will focus on creating innovative approaches to convey more immersive and better visual experiences to users.

Our internships are twelve (12) to sixteen (16) weeks long. Currently pursuing a Masters or PhD in Color Science, Imaging Science, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Minimum requirements include:

  1. Experience and understanding of optics/photonics/vision science/display technology.
  2. Experience with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, or C++.
  3. Intent to return to a degree program after the completion of the internship.
  4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Understanding of display technologies (LCD and OLED).
  7. Experience working with displays or head-mounted displays, or other hardware to study the visual system.
