Job summary

BlackRock Resources, LLC is seeking an experienced Project Manager for metals projects in Merrillville, IN. The role leads a portfolio of external client engagements in the steel/metals sector, overseeing the full lifecycle from scoping through construction.

The ideal candidate has 5–10+ years in A/E or consulting, with direct metals industry experience and strong client-facing skills. PMP is preferred; no visa sponsorship is available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred).
• 5–10+ years in project management in A/E or consulting.
• Experience managing complex industrial projects as a consultant.
• Direct experience serving steel/metals industry clients.
• PMP certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary client contact and account manager.
• Support business development, proposals, scoping, and contract negotiations.
• Lead project execution, ensuring delivery on scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Develop execution strategies as designs evolve through permitting and construction.
• Monitor scope, schedule, and cost; manage change authorizations.
• Manage project financials including pricing, invoicing, cash flow, and profitability.
• Develop and maintain project documentation (scope, estimates, schedules, reporting).
• Promote cost-efficient, innovative design solutions.
• Prepare client reports on cost, schedule, and quality performance.
