Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Production Worker for a contract role in Bartlett, IL, to support a fast-paced metals manufacturing environment. You will feed, assemble, weld, and test tubes, operate pneumatic tools and a robotic welder, and perform quality checks. Expect extended hours and mandatory Saturday shifts in an on-site facility.

The position emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and teamwork in a unionized production cell setting with overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
• Strong attention to detail for quality inspection, packing, and documentation.
• Willingness to work overtime, including Saturdays.
• Able to read/write English at ~8th grade level.
• Eligible to work in an ITAR-regulated facility.
• Experience reading blueprints and working from them.
• Experience with trimming operations in production/fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Feed tubes into machines that count and bevel them, ensuring accurate quantities.
• Pack tubes after counting/beveling, following procedures and quality standards.
• Feed tubes into outer shell of coolers as part of basic assembly.
• Use a pneumatic air gun to assemble tubes into coolers.
• Operate a robotic welder by loading/unloading parts.
• Handle 50-lb coolers after welding with safety and repetition.
• Perform final testing and quality inspection on ERG coolers.
• Work in an automated cell that handles feeding, assembly, welding, testing.
• Follow documentation and inspection procedures for production activities.
• Handle materials safely during loading/unloading.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area in production cells.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and use of PPE.
• Overtime as required, including Saturdays.
