Job summary

McGough is seeking an Estimator to assess costs for miscellaneous metals fabrication and supply on commercial construction projects. You will work with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors to prepare accurate estimates and bids.

Requirements include a Construction Management degree or equivalent experience, 2+ years of project experience, and proficiency in Excel, Procore, and Bluebeam. Office in White Bear Lake with regional travel."

Qualifications

• Construction Management degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of construction project experience, preferably with subcontractor or self-perform trades.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam).

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed take-offs for miscellaneous metals scopes.
• Develop bid cards, set up bid packages, and manage subcontractor solicitations.
• Ensure estimates include labor, material, fabrication, finishes and delivery.
• Analyze and compare subcontractor and vendor quotes.
• Assist in contract negotiations and value engineering efforts.
• Engage with general contractors and project stakeholders.
• Track and analyze project costs for continuous improvement.
