Job summary

Dauch is seeking a Laboratory Technician to gather and prep materials for testing and to operate a range of analytical equipment to determine metallurgical, metallographic, chemical, or powder properties. You will collect and report results, maintain equipment, and support new test procedures.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma (GED) with strong math and written skills, plus PC experience and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• High school grad, GED -- Associates Degree preferred.
• Strong mathematical and written skills.
• Personal computer skills, particularly with spreadsheets are a plus.
• Development of specific skills significant to specific position such as metallography, chemical technology, physical testing, etc. is necessary.
• Team oriented.
• Attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Gather and prepare materials and specimens for testing.
• Test materials with a variety of analytical equipment in order to determine metallurgical, metallographic, chemical or powder properties.
• Collect and report test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment.
• Assist in analysis of new equipment or test procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area; perform other similar related duties as required.
