Position Overview:

As a Material/Metallurgical Lab Technician, you will perform duties related to chemical analysis, testing, and investigation of metal samples, alloys, or other process materials for product certification, metallurgical control, and development of new or improved alloys and production methods.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Operate and maintain lab instrumentation and testing equipment according to procedures.
• Identify alloys of samples using lab equipment.
• Manage and maintain data, reports, testing, and communications as directed.
• Ensure compliance with NADCAP, AS9100, ISO17025, and other OEM standards.
• Follow customer specifications, industry standards, and work instructions.
• Participate in round robin testing internally and externally.
• Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
• Work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Education: High school diploma with professional lab experience or an associate's degree in Material Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• Language skills: Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic and ability to use measuring devices.
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems involving multiple variables and follow instructions.
• Reliability: Willingness to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, at our Chittenango, NY facility.
