Job summary

ATI is hiring a Test Material Processor for its Cudahy, WI facility to prepare test samples and conduct metallurgical tests using machine tools. You will turn, face, grind, thread, and polish test specimens, and assist with heat-treatment activities in coordination with technicians.

The role requires strong problem-solving and communication skills, a high school diploma, and the ability to pass an aptitude test. This is a full-time onsite position with shift options (2nd and 4th).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must pass aptitude test.
• Ability to utilize a tape measure.
• 1+ years of machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Layout and section off test material.
• Turn, face, grind, thread cylindrical specimens and polish.
• Prepare etched samples and perform related finishing.
• Produce test specimens via hot working operations with team.
• Store, scrap, and dispose of production-related material.
• Conduct experimental heat treat operations as directed.
• Pickup and deliver test material to designated areas.
