Job summary

Howmet is seeking a Quality Technician, Lab Tech (In Process Lab) to perform metallurgical and mechanical testing on manufactured products. The role requires handling complex tests, troubleshooting equipment, and reporting results in line with NADCAP requirements.

Qualifications

• Prior laboratory experience in mechanical and/or metallurgical testing or related training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; Visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex metallurgical and mechanical tests with lab instrumentation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and investigate suspect test data.
• Conduct test calculations, perform reporting of results, and verify conformity to specs.
• Evaluate and update test procedures; support lab supervisor on equipment improvements.
• Maintain test fixtures and order tooling as needed.
