Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking an HTL Engineering Technician at the Henderson site to support metallurgical research, materials processing, and lab operations. The role emphasizes clean lab practices, data reporting, and cross‑training across laboratory and pilot processing functions.

Responsibilities include small‑scale processing, specimen prep, testing, and documentation, with travel across buildings S-11, K-53, and K-55 as needed. Strong adherence to safety and EHS policies is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. (noted as requirement)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to work in hot environments and non‑air‑conditioned buildings as required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lb. and operate forklifts/cranes (training provided).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hands‑on experience with tools or related processes.

Responsibilities

• Engage in metallurgical materials processing including formulation, melting, conversion, and blending.
• Prepare metallographic specimens: cutting, mounting, grinding, polishing, and etching.
• Maintain sample identifiers, document details, and store/retrieve samples per lab instructions and traceability.
• Handle chemicals per EHS requirements; perform heat‑treating per specs and work instructions.
• Operate and support SEM, optical microscopy, microhardness/nanohardness systems, and related testing equipment.
