OceanaGold’s Haile Gold Mine in South Carolina seeks a Metallurgical Technician to operate lab equipment, collect samples, run tests, and support process-plant optimization. The role emphasizes safety, environmental stewardship, and routine maintenance.

You will work across the Met lab and plant, analyze data, write summaries, and help ensure accurate process control. A high school diploma and basic lab knowledge are required; experience in lab or industrial environments is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Experience with mine sample preparation and wet chemistry methods is beneficial.
• Experience with metallurgical testing equipment is beneficial.
• Prior lab environment experience is beneficial.
• Prior experience in an industrial environment is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Performs duties with focus on safety and environmental stewardship.
• Conducts laboratory tests using lab equipment and SOPs.
• Assists in process plant optimization and sampling campaigns.
• Maintains and repairs lab equipment as needed.
• Reads meters, records data, and analyzes results.
• Assists in sample collection around Haile operation.
• Distributes test summaries and supports SOP corrections.
