Jobot is seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician for a leading aluminum manufacturer. The role supports quality assurance, metallurgical evaluations, material investigations, and lab operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months of laboratory, manufacturing, quality, metallurgy, materials testing, or related experience preferred.
• Familiarity with metallurgical testing, material inspection, or nondestructive testing methods is preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare aluminum and other metal samples for metallurgical examination and quality investigations.
• Coordinate sample preparation and testing with quality, production, and engineering teams.
• Perform metallographic sample preparation including machining, cutting, sectioning, polishing and etching.
• Conduct laboratory testing and material evaluations using analytical and inspection equipment.
• Operate, maintain and monitor laboratory equipment for material characterization and testing.
• Perform microscopic examinations to evaluate material structure and defects.
• Document test results and assist with charts, graphs and reports.
