A leading packaging company is seeking a Metallizing Shift Supervisor in Villa Rica, GA. The role involves managing safety, production, and quality goals on the night shift. Candidates should have strong organizational and technical skills, with a minimum of 3-5 years of production experience. Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent is required
Minimum of 3 - 5 years production experience needed
Proven ability to effectively manage people and responsibilities
Strong computer skills needed
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills needed
Must be able to pass a physical, drug screen and background check
Preferred Qualifications
Strong technical skills in Metallizing / Slitting Processes
Essential Job Duties
Manage the shift to ensure all performance goals of the plant in relation to safety, waste, quality, and productivity are achieved.
Provide associates with coaching, feedback, and timely performance reviews.
Ensure that internal and external customer expectations are met .
Oversee plant initiatives such as 5S, BBSO, FSSC 22K, VPP.
Supervise shift personnel in a manner that promotes a sense of fairness and high morale.
Control operating costs.
Perform job checkouts and make decisions regarding quality.
Oversee the department on the night shift to ensure compliance to regulatory policies.
Effectively facilitate and lead a small team to achieve specific goals (waste, quality teams)
Manage team to keep equipment operating in a productive manner at all times . This may also include running the equipment.
Internal Candidates:
Must have received a 'Performer' or better on last review
Must not have active disciplinary action higher than Verbal Warning within last 12 months
Must not be on a Performance Improvement Plan
Must be in current position minimum of 120 days
