Job summary

EMJ is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to perform material pulling, order filling, cutting, inventory handling, and shipping tasks within the Plant department. The role requires basic equipment operation and practical knowledge of metals distribution processes.

Responsibilities include reading orders, verifying material, operating equipment, and maintaining a safe, orderly warehouse environment. Physical tasks and team coordination are essential to successful performance.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in warehousing or material handling preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License preferred.
• Experience operating cranes, forklifts, or other heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to obtain certification to operate motorized material handling and rigging equipment.
• Clear oral and written communication; legible handwriting.
• Manual dexterity and physical fitness to operate heavy equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions and blueprints.
• Basic math and measurement skills, including fractions and conversions.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and multitask effectively.
• Teamwork and collaboration with supervisors and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Move inventory and materials, pull customer orders, load/unload materials.
• Receive and place items into stock locations and restock as needed.
• Read and verify work orders; confirm heat numbers and material specs.
• Operate cranes, forklifts, side loaders, yard trucks, saws, and other heavy equipment.
• Tag materials and document movements for traceability.
• Sort materials by size, type, or product code.
• Coordinate with team to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Drive company vehicle for local deliveries (non-DOT).
