Job summary

North Mechanical Contracting and Service, based in Indianapolis, seeks a motivated Metal Trades employee to join our industrial piping fabrication team at the Lebanon facility. This full-time role supports fabrication operations by preparing materials, operating production equipment, organizing inventory, and assisting crew through the manufacturing process.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, production, or industrial environments.
• Comfort operating or learning automated equipment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Cut, prepare, and process piping materials for fabrication.
• Operate and learn advanced pipe profiling and automated cutting equipment.
• Monitor machine performance and report equipment issues or production concerns.
• Stage, organize, and transport materials throughout the fabrication shop.
• Assist fabrication personnel with production and assembly activities.
• Unload deliveries and verify incoming materials.
• Operate approved material-handling equipment to move materials safely throughout the facility.
• Perform routine housekeeping in fabrication, warehouse, and outdoor storage areas.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and basic upkeep of production equipment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and quality standards.
