Job summary

Qualifications

Description
Major Job Activities

Key Responsibilities:



  • 25% - Train, advise, assist, and integrate IqAF technicians on structural repair methods and inspection standards.

  • 25% - Perform metal fabrication, sheet metal repairs, riveting, and welding to restore airframe integrity.

  • 15% - Inspect aircraft for cracks, corrosion, and structural damage using visual and NDI techniques.

  • 10% - Use and train IqAF in interpreting technical orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings.

  • 10% - Document all maintenance and fabrication activities according to program and technical standards.

  • 10% - Recommend updates to repair procedures and shop operations to increase efficiency.

  • 5% - Support other duties as assigned by Site Leadership.


Material & Equipment Directly Used

Sheet metal tools, rivet guns, metal brakes, welding equipment, grinders, inspection tools, technical manuals, Microsoft Office.


Working Environment

Aircraft maintenance hangar and deployed operational environment; exposure to noise, dust, and metalworking conditions.


Physical Activities

Standing, bending, cutting, grinding, lifting, and working in confined spaces; capable of working with metal and heavy equipment.


Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school training in aircraft structural repair preferred.


Certifications: USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) in Aircraft Structural Maintenance


Experience: 8 to 8 to 10 years in structural repair, fabrication, and welding for F-16 or similar platforms.


Other Requirements: U.S. Citizenship; eligible for Secret clearance; deployable worldwide including Middle East regions; international experience preferred.


Skills and Technology Used: Sheet metal repair, blueprint reading, welding, documentation tools, Microsoft Office.
