Job summary

Beckett Thermal Solutions, based in Ohio, seeks an experienced die setter/operator to perform progressive die setups, tear downs, and press operations in a metal stamping environment. This role requires staying attentive to tooling and quality while maintaining production flow.

You will observe presses, adjust production rates, conduct quality checks, and communicate clearly with supervisors and quality staff. Extended standing is required, with PPE provided to ensure safety during shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience setting up progressive dies and running presses.
• Ability to read blueprints and use fixtures to verify dimensions.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Perform progressive die set ups, tear downs, and press operations.

Job description

• Ability to set up and operate single hit and progressive dies.
• Ability to troubleshoot progressive dies and make adjustments when needed.
• Familiar with Wintriss SmartPac Controls is a plus.
• Ability to use standard measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, height gage etc.
• Ability to read blueprints, use part fixtures for dimensional specifications, and/or part gages
• In-depth knowledge of the processes, equipment used for metal stamping as well as being comfortable in the metal stamping environment.

Job Description

• Perform typical progressive die set ups, tear downs, and press operations.
• Observe press in operation and make adjustments to control rate of production.
• Monitor tooling, press, and coil equipment during production to ensure it is working properly, i.e. watching gages, dials, etc.
• Regular quality inspections during production runs to ensure making good parts
• Communicate clearly and concisely with the supervisor, other production personnel or quality personnel when a problem arises.
• Maintain an accurate count of parts
• Extended periods of standing while operating press and running production
• Follow all prescribed safety regulations, i.e.. PPE (safety glasses / hearing protection) etc.
