Job summary

American Greetings in Forest City, NC is seeking a Metal Spray Tech to assist in finishing metal parts in the Metal Paint department. You will support the Metal Spray Tech II and help ensure parts are finished to spec.

The role involves line setup/timing checks, quality monitoring, and PPE use, with emphasis on teamwork and safe, efficient spray operations. This is an entry-to-mid level manufacturing position supportive of the paint line.

Qualifications

• At least three months mechanical and manufacturing experience.
• Six months experience in hand spraying techniques and spray booth set-up preferred.
• High school diploma or GED minimum.

Responsibilities

• Assists with all job change overs and startups, turns on drying ovens and verifies line speed as needed.
• Must monitor quality of all parts being painted and assist in hand spraying as needed.
• Serves as a primary back-up to the Metal Spray Tech II.
• Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment required for machine/department
• Must maintain proper housekeeping in and around machine/work area.
• Other duties, as assigned
