Overview

• Assist customers with unloading materials.
• Sort and process materials according to their metal components.
• Purchase, grade, and box materials.
• Track inventory and shipments.
• Lead efforts to provide a best-in-class customer experience.
• Use a variety of hand tools and machines such as forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, and pressure washers.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Work safely and maintain work area/equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Safety/OSHA guidelines and adherence for your safety and others.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, non-stop environment while providing excellent customer service.
• Must have the willingness to go the extra mile learning the scrap metal recycling industry.
• Metals knowledge preferred, but not required.
• Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions, work independently and multitask.
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
• Flexible to work off hours, overtime, and weekends, in an industrial environment which may include being outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.
• Must be willing to cross-train in various positions, be self-motivated, possess good work ethics and have the ability to work with a team.

Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen test, background check and fit-for-duty test if needed.
