Job summary

Radius Recycling in Everett, MA seeks a Picker to discard or remove products and materials in line with HS&E standards. You will perform yard cleanup, operate belts, and assist with repairs and maintenance as needed. This role emphasizes physical stamina and adherence to safety protocols.

Experience in scrap yards is preferred; candidates must be able to follow written or verbal instructions and learn new tasks quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates must be able to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
• Ability to learn new tasks as assigned is required.
• Experience in a scrap yard is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Environmental and Health & Safety: adheres to Metals Recycling Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and provides a safe environment for employees, customers and visitors.
• Operational: general yard cleanup, removal of materials at shredder, greasing and cleanup at shear/shredder, assist with repairs and maintenance, provide backup across the yard.
• Equipment & Maintenance: report all equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the supervisor.
