Behr Iron & Metal, an Alter Company, is seeking a Non-Ferrous Clerk to support metal recycling operations in Clinton, IA. You will greet customers at the retail scale, weigh materials, enter data, and process transactions to issue correct payments.

The role requires operating warehouse equipment and working in an outdoor/warehouse environment. This is a hands-on position with safety and accuracy as priorities.

Qualifications

• Ability to pass Company’s credit check requirement for this position.
• Previous Customer Service Experience, required
• Previous Warehouse Experience, preferred
• Previous Metal Scrap Experience, preferred
• Previous experience in Warehouse, Equipment Operation, Customer Service, Construction, Retail, Customer Facing, computer work, etc. will do well in this position.

Responsabilités

• Provide great customer service at our retail scale by providing prompt service, weighing material and properly inspecting & identifying material.
• Correctly enter customer and product information into our system.
• Complete and process customer’s transaction to issue appropriate payment
• Learn and operate machines (forklift, balers, shaker table, etc.) to help with the recycling process.
• Work in a warehouse type environment subject to the elements.
