Job summary

Fl-Crane- is seeking a Metal Panel Laborer to install metal panel systems, sunshades, louvers, and window systems on commercial and industrial buildings. You will interpret blueprints, prepare surfaces, cut and shape materials, and ensure safety and quality standards.

The role requires reading blueprints, using measuring tools, and collaborating with crew while traveling as needed. Hotel and per diem are provided for overnight stays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read measuring tools such as tape measure.
• Ability to work and communicate with others.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites using hand tools.
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment.
• Install wall and exterior metal panel products per specs and codes.
• Drill and punch holes in metal for screws, bolts and rivets.
• Position units for installation and anchor them.
• Secure panels and interlock grooved edges.
• Join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and related methods.
• Measure and mark guidelines for installations.

Job description

The Metal Panel Laborer is responsible for the installation of metal panel systems, sunshades, louvers, and window systems on commercial and industrial buildings. This role involves interpreting blueprints, preparing surfaces, cutting and shaping materials, and ensuring that all installations meet safety and quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabricate or alter parts at construction sites, using shears, hammers, punches or drills
• Install and use rigging and hoisting equipment
• Install wall and exterior metal panel products according to specifications and building codes
• Drill and punch holes in metal, for screws, bolts, and rivets
• Maneuver units into position for installation, and anchor the units
• Secure metal panels in place, and interlock and fasten grooved panel edges
• Fit and join sheet metal parts using riveting, welding, soldering and similar equipment
• Measure and mark guidelines to be used for installations

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred)
