Job summary

Ferco Aerospace in Ohio is looking for a Metal Painter to prepare parts for painting and bonding. You will read blueprints and schematics to plan building and painting operations, apply primer and paint per specifications, and conduct quality checks to ensure product integrity in a climate-controlled, small-team setting.

The role is full-time on 2nd shift with benefits, a retention plan with increases, and a shift differential.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• Basic computer skills beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Paint aerospace brackets with primer and paint per company specs and customer expectations.
• Attach rubber blankets to brackets using RTV adhesive to reduce wear.
• Read and interpret specifications, manuals, and blueprints to plan operations.
• Perform quality control checks to verify conformance to specs and machine capabilities.

You’ll be reading and understanding our blueprints and schematics to paint aerospace brackets and conduct quality control checks. Work is in a climate-controlled manufacturing facility with a friendly environment and a small company feel. Full-time positions available on 2nd shift. Positions come with benefits, a retention plan with increases, and a shift differential.

The ideal candidate for this position would be able to do the following and possess the following;

• Paint aerospace brackets with primer and paint per company specifications and customer expectations in a manner consistent with the company's quality and productivity standards.
• Using RTV adhesive, attach rubber blankets to aerospace brackets in areas to reduce wear on critical hardware areas.
• Read and interpret specifications manuals or assembly blueprints and schematics to plan building or assembly operations
• Verify functioning, conformance to customer specification and machine capabilities by conducting quality control checks
• Great hand eye coordination

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not required

Position Demands

• Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand on a daily basis
• Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
• Able to successfully pass vision screens
• Able to sit for prolonged periods
• Extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects

Schedule

• Training - Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, Overtime possible daily and Fridays
• 2nd Shift - Monday - Thursday 4:00 pm - 2:30 am, Overtime possible daily and Sundays
