Job summary

Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is seeking a hands-on Material Preparation & Inventory Coordinator in the San Jose metro area. You will support daily material flow, ensure inventory accuracy, and prepare materials for production, including receiving, inspecting, cutting, staging, and tracking raw materials used in manufacturing.

The role requires 5+ years in inventory control or related manufacturing support, experience with ERP/MRP systems, and hands-on band saw operation.

Qualifications

5+ years in inventory control, manufacturing support, or warehousing.
Hands-on use of a horizontal band saw to cut materials.
Experience issuing, kitting, and staging to production schedules.
Ability to read production routings, schedules, and material requirements.
Knowledge of cycle counting and reconciliation best practices.
Experience with ERP/MRP/warehouse systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor).
Strong organization, detail orientation, and independent work style.
Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw material shipments against orders and specs.
Manage material certifications and documentation for traceability.
Measure and cut raw metal materials to required lengths using a band saw.
Review schedules and stage materials to ensure inventory for operations.
Maintain lot traceability from raw materials to finished goods.
Process inventory transactions and manage material movement in ERP/WM systems.
Perform cycle counts and investigate variances.
Collaborate with production, shipping, and procurement to prevent shortages.
