Description

Wenger Corporation is a privately-held, leading manufacturer of high-quality music education, performing arts, and athletic products. To better balance your personal life, Wenger Corporation offers flexible, family-friendly scheduling, including four 10-hour shifts (Monday-Thursday) with overtime on Fridays, and additional overtime opportunities.

We are seeking a Metal Machine Operator responsible for setting up and operating metal fabrication equipment, working under limited supervision to meet quality and production standards.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
  • Experience with measuring instruments like tape measures and calipers
  • Basic math, reading, writing, and communication skills within a team environment
  • Problem-solving, critical thinking, planning, and organization skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Light to moderate lifting capabilities
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Six months of experience operating metal forming equipment or direct experience with Wenger Corporation
  • Vocational or technical school training
Typical Daily Tasks:
  • Collaborating effectively within group settings, valuing input, and assisting teammates
  • Setting up, adjusting, and operating metal fabrication equipment such as press brakes, punch presses, tube benders, saws, and wire forming machines
  • Determining material requirements and following production order sequences
  • Manufacturing products according to engineering drawings and blueprints to meet specifications
  • Performing thorough inspections of parts
  • Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
