Job summary

DIHO Consulting USA is seeking an Architectural Railing Installer to join its field team in Houston. You will install architectural handrails, guardrails, glass railing systems, and other metal components on commercial projects, reading shop drawings and installation drawings to ensure accurate layouts and fit.

This role involves travel to project sites, sometimes overnight, and requires bending, lifting, and working at heights.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction or architectural metal installation preferred.
• Experience reading shop drawings and construction documents.
• Strong measuring, layout, leveling, and installation skills.
• Experience using common construction hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install architectural handrails, guardrails, glass railing systems, and other metal components.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, installation drawings, and project specifications.
• Accurately measure, lay out, level, align, and secure railing systems according to approved drawings.
• Install posts, rails, brackets, supports, glass panels, and related components.
• Use drills, grinders, saws, levels, lasers, anchors, and other hand and power tools required for installation.
• Perform field adjustments and minor modifications as needed to achieve proper fit and alignment.
• Protect finished materials from damage during handling and installation.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project teams, and other trades to complete installations efficiently.
• Follow all jobsite safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall protection.

Duties:

• Install architectural handrails, guardrails, glass railing systems, and other custom metal components.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, installation drawings, and project specifications.
• Accurately measure, lay out, level, align, and secure railing systems according to approved drawings.
• Install posts, rails, brackets, supports, glass panels, and related components.
• Use drills, grinders, saws, levels, lasers, anchors, and other hand and power tools required for installation.
• Perform field adjustments and minor modifications as needed to achieve proper fit and alignment.
• Protect finished materials from damage during handling and installation.
• Coordinate with field supervisors, project teams, and other trades to complete installations efficiently.
• Follow all jobsite safety requirements, including proper use of PPE and fall protection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist with material handling as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in construction or architectural metal installation preferred.
• Experience installing railings, ornamental metals, glass systems, or similar architectural products is a strong plus.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and construction documents.
• Strong measuring, layout, leveling, and installation skills.
• Experience using common construction hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting materials and working at heights.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a field installation team.
• Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced commercial construction environment.
